Distances between major US cities

Simply select a city of origin and a destination city from the following drop-down menus. Press the submit button and a pop-up window will show the distance between the cities in both miles and kilometers, the driving time from one city to the other, and the flying time from one city to the other.

MapQuest is one of the biggest and best mapping sites on the web. They provide maps based around U.S. addresses, as well as door-to-door directions in a variety of languages. In addition, MapQuest provides other services, such as city-by-city traffic reports and hotel and restaurant reviews.

Mapblast also provides address mapping and routing, as well as other services. A nice feature of Mapblast is that they provide downloadable software and directions for PDAs.

Topozone has huge selection of USGS maps. These are the preferred maps for many hikers and backpackers.

Maps On UsMaps On Us is another nice web site that provides address and route mapping. Maps On Us also provides Yellow page services on their site.

The National Geographic Map Page has a nice variety of online maps, as well as maps for sale.

The University of Texas Maps Page is an decent map page itself, but it contains tons of map links in its Maps on Other Web Sites page.

The University of Iowa Maps Page also contains tons of map links for a variety of needs.

How far is it? has a simple form to calculate the distance between two points. Be aware that it does not provide the flight or drive time. It simply provides the distance between two points.
