Here is a partial list of national hotel chains that provide budget accommodations. All of these chains offer hotels that meet the minimum standards for accommodations and service. They provide clean, safe hotel rooms equipped with comfortable beds, en-suite bathing facilities, television and air conditioning. These hotels normally have very few of the extra amenities found in more expensive hotels. Some of these hotels' web pages provide descriptions for each property and (most important) the date of last renovation. Choice Hotels International Red Roof Inn offers the basics. Price range: $40 to $60. Howard Johnson Fairfield Inns are the budget hotels offered by the Marriott Corporation. The properties are usually very nice and pleasantly inexpensive. Price Range $40 to $65. Reserve your room now! Courtyard by Marriott is the medium priced business oriented chain run by Marriott. Prices range from $50 to $100. Courtyard offers everything a business traveler needs. Residence by Marriott are the slightly higher priced hotels of this chain. Prices range from $90 to $140. Residence Inn: Spacious suites with all the comforts of home. Reserve yours today. SpringHill Suites, another property of Marriott, has nice studio suties with good living space. Amenities include data ports, mini-refrigerators, microwave ovens and coffee makers. Rooms range from $70 to $140. SpringHill Suites: Up to 25% more room than comparably priced rooms. Book yours today! TownPlace Suites by Marriott is for extended stays. The properties have large, comfortable rooms with full kitchens, on-site laundry, swimming pools, high-speed internet access, and allow pets. Rooms range from $70 to $130. TownePlace Suites: Live the way you want to live. Extended Stay Hotel rooms include fully-equipped kitchens, cable TV, wireless Internet access and on-site guest laundry. Room rates from $59.Extended Stay Hotels - The most choices, with over 680 locations Ramada Inn properties vary considerably from location to location. Some are very nice; some are not as nice.
