Coney Island Amusement park is a historic landmark located in Brooklyn near Brighton Beach. It was originally built at the beginning of this century and contains many of the old wooden roller coasters, Ferris wheels and thrill rides of a by-gone era. You can still eat a "Coney Island Hot Dog" at the original Nathan's that has served them since 1916. It opens early June until the end of August and admission is free.
