This city in the western desert is the largest adult amusement center in the world and one of the top travel destinations for tourists visiting the USA. It offers multiple themed casino hotels of gigantic proportions plus non-stop entertainment of all sorts. There are hundreds of performances daily by famous entertainers and dozens of glitzy productions featuring song, dance, comedy and acrobatics. It is well situated near the center of the southwestern scenic attractions such as the Grand Canyon National Park, Death Valley, Zion National Park, Monument Valley and Yosemite National Park.
Orlando Florida is the largest family-oriented entertainment center in the world. Just south of this semi-tropical city lies Disney World, the largest theme park in the world; plus Universal Studios, another immense theme park and numerous other attractions for children and adults alike. It is situated near the center of the Florida peninsula along the eastern coast of the USA and is near many beautiful sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
The "Big Apple" is home for more than 12 million Americans. This vibrant East Coast metropolis is international headquarters for numerous businesses and institutions including the United Nations. Here you will find Broadway, Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan museum, Madison Square Gardens and many other musical, theatrical, sports and cultural diversions. You can also find restaurants, nightclubs and entertainment of all sorts, plus thousands of stores and boutiques that make it a "shopping" wonderland.
Los Angeles is the second largest city in the USA, but it is better described as a West Coast metropolitan center. There is no central focus to this immense California city that sprawls across a fifty mile wide basin between its lovely Pacific Ocean beaches and the eastern backdrop of mountains. Instead it is a conglomeration of dozens of smaller cities like Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Long Beach and Anaheim. It has a diverse population with distinctly hispanic and asian roots. Disney Land, the original family-oriented fantasy theme park is located in nearby Anaheim.
This is the other West Coast California city. It does not have the warm sandy beaches of the Southern California cities, but it offers spectacular scenery with picturesque hillside commnunities overlooking beautiful blue bays. San Francisco with its victorian houses, its quaint cable cars, its multicultural population and its fabulous array of fine dining is a fovorite vacation destination for many USA natives. It is located near the most famous wine growing regions of Napa Valley and Sonoma.
Washington D.C. is a city that was specifically designed to be the capitol of the USA. It has the architectural beauty of a well-planned city filled with magnificent monuments, governmental buildings and parks. It has some of the finest museums in the country including the vast complex of Smithsonian Institution museums. It has many historic attractions and comemorative monuments. There is much to see in this beautiful city and most of the attractions are absolutely free to the visitor.
This Pacific Northwest city is on the West Coast far north of California, but it has a mild damp climate. Situated on a series of hills within the shadow of a great volcanic peak and overlooking a bright blue ocean inlet and two inland lakes, the city provides some beautiful vistas. Seattle is a modern metropolitan center surrounded by ocean inlets, islands, snow capped mountains, dense forest wilderness and raging mountain streams. It is a favorite home for outdoor lovers and sportsmen. Fishing, boating, mountain climbing, river rafting and mountain climbing are all within a short drive from downtown.
Chicago is the great city of the midwest. It is located along the western shores of Lake Michigan near the northern end of the Mississippi River basin. This great sprawling metropolis extends many miles out from the beautiful lakefront beaches to the endless fields of corn of the Great Plains. It is the great central hub of the USA, situated midway between the great cities of the East Coast and the Rocky Mountain divide that seperates the Western parts of the USA.
Nashville, Tennessee is the known as the "home of Country Western Music". It is the location of the famous Grand Ole Opry, the oldest and best known country music show in the world. You can visit the Grand Ole Opry and see some of your favorite country music stars at its weekly televised shows. You can also visit the Wild Horse Saloon to see some of the country's best line dancing, or stop in at some of the honky tonk bars downtown and perhaps see a country music star of the future. updated: November 2005
