San Diego, California - Downtown Accommodations
Downtown San Diego includes a long curving esplanade along the shores of San Diego Bay, an older "Gaslamp" district adjacent to the esplanade and a commercial neighborhood reaching up the eastern slopes. There are several high-class hotels along the esplanade and several more in the Gaslamp Quarter, plus a selection of moderate-priced hotels scattered throughout the adjacent neighborhoods. Most of the downtown hotels are within walking distance of the Convention Center and the downtown business, shopping and entertainment districts. Budget priced accommodations are hard to find in downtown.
