The Cabins

Ridgetop Lodge is a newly built log Lodge, located on the ridge just above the Ranch. The Lodge's spacious common areas make a perfect setting for group vacations, small conferences, and individuals or couples who enjoy privacy combined with the sociable lodge atmosphere.

Large Cabins at various locations throughout the Ranch have 2 or 3 bedrooms, a living area with woodstove, and shower/tub combinations. These cabins are perfect for family vacations.

Single Room Cabins at various locations throughout the Ranch can sleep from 2 to 4 people, and provide a cozy location for couples or small families.

Duplexes can be used either as two cabins or one large cabin.

Each cabin has a private bath, wood burning stove or fireplace and electric heat. The smaller cabins have one bedroom/living area and bath. The larger cabins have a separate living room and 2-3 bedrooms.

We will try our best to match you up with a cabin that is just right for you. The best way to assure that we can meet your needs is to reserve early!

Horseback Riding

Horses are a way of life in Montana and Lone Mountain Ranch offers a wonderful way to experience horses as a means of exploring the forests and mountains in the area. We are justifiably proud of our well-trained herd of horses and the wranglers who lead our rides. Rides are intentionally limited to a few riders so you can learn about the country from your knowledgeable wrangler. In addition to rides around the Ranch and morning and afternoon rides, we also offer all-day rides exploring areas in and around Yellowstone National Park.

Most of our horseback riding is at a walking and trotting pace. All riding is geared to the ability levels of our guests. Previous riding is recommended, but not required. Please note that to ensure horse and rider safety in mountainous terrain, we enforce a rider weight limit of 230 pounds.
