Las Vegas Casinos off The Strip

If you prefer to get away from the tourist crowds or if you are looking for bargain priced accommodations, you might be interested in one of the hotel casinos located off of the Las Vegas Strip. They include a cluster of traditional Vegas hotels in the downtown area around Fremont Street where historic establishments feature real old-time gambling rather than fahionable themes and glitzy entertainment. The Las Vegas Boulevard bus can take you from downtown to the newer casinos along the lower Strip in fifteen minutes and the cost is nominal.

There are also hotels located on side streets just a short walk from the strip. Some of these hotels are nearly as spectacular as the grand casinos along the strip. In fact, the Hard Rock Hotel Casino is known as the hangout for the younger crowd of "beautiful people" including some movie stars or wanna-be movie stars. Most of these casinos offer free transportation to and from the Strip.

Lastly, there are a few way-off-the-strip casino complexes, that are very nice and usually more reasonably priced than similar accommodations on the strip. They also offer free transportation to and from the Strip.

Visit our Las Vegas Tourist Map page to see where each of these hotels are located; or click on the link to read about them, check their prices and find their exact location on a map. When you have chosen your hotel, make your reservations!
